Carr at Summer NAMM 2008
Carr Amplifiers will be showing some new amps and our proven favorites at the Summer NAMM 2008 trade show at the Nashville Convention Center, Nashville, Tennessee from June 20-22, 2008. Visit us at booth #2100 and be one of the first to check out our newest amp, the Raleigh, pictured at left. The Raleigh is a small, 3 Watt combo amp with a 10-inch speaker and clean and overdrive modes--and a sharp looking cabinet with lacquered maple panels.
In addition to the Raleigh, we will have Mercurys, Hammerheads, Rambler and Viceroy heads and combos, and Slant 6Vs including one with a new, updated circuit that includes reverb controls in both channels and tone tweaks.
The Vincent is now The Viceroy
Due to trademark issues we have changed the name of The Vincent to The Viceroy. We are now shipping the amps with the new Viceroy nameplates. The Viceroy is the same as the Vincent in all respects; only the name has changed.
New! Mini-Mercury 1x10 Combo
The Mini-Mercury Amplifier is an extremely versatile combo with all tube reverb, 3 position boost switch, treble cut switch, and a built in attenuator yielding 8, 2, 1/2, or 1/10 watt output.
It is 100% hand wired and rigorously tested.
The Mini-Mercury offers big amp tones and feel ranging from lush 60s American reverb to modified brown 70s British crunch at almost any volume.
All Carr Amplifiers have solid pine cabinets with dovetailed corners built in-house. The cabinet measures a friendly 19.5" wide by 15" tall by 10" deep at the bottom sloping to 9" deep on the top. This is 2 inches shorter and 1 3/4 inches narrower than the standard 1x12" Mercury making it very compact.
Output is thru a single JJ E34L power tube while the pre amp uses two 12AX7s and one 12AT7.
Our new Mini-Mercury has the same electronics as the standard 1x12" Mercury but differs in its smaller cabinet and its warm and smoky 10 inch Eminence Lil Buddy hemp cone speaker.
